Accreditation to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005

All laboratories that would like to take specimens for the participating trade companies and their fruit & vegetable suppliers in the future, must satisfy minimum standards that have been defined by fruitmonitoring.com. These include accreditation to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 in the country of the analysing laboratory and the regular participation in round robin tests. The FAPAS, QS or similar round robin tests are recognised. The results of the round robin tests need to be submitted to the HDE Trade Services GmbH shortly after they have been confirmed.

Laboratories that are interested in working with us can apply for approval at the HTS. They will need to submit the following documents:

  • informal application
  • current accreditation certificate acc. to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005
  • the appendix to the accreditation certificate acc. to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005
  • an extract of the Commercial Register
  • a copy from the tax office with the value added tax identification number
  • verification of the successful participation in at least two round robin tests (proficiency tests) in 2023 (fruit/vegetable)

Please note that a handling fee of 500,00 € (plus tax if applicable) must be paid before the start of the review of the submitted documents.

List of active agents

In order to obtain unrestricted admission to fruitmonitoring.com the laboratory must routinely be able to analyze at least 80% of the standard active agents (S) on the active agents list and also have a mastery of all established analysis methods. In any analysis that is commissioned as a “standard pesticide analysis”, tests must be performed for all standard active agents that the laboratory has reported. A laboratory that cannot analyse at least 80% of all the active agents on the list using the standard examination methods, is approved under the following conditions:

  • It needs to be able to analyse at least 50% of all the active agents on the list regardless of the number of methods that are defined in the accreditation field and
  • It must also operate a continual development and improvement process that also aims to ensure that the laboratory is able to verify a minimum increase of 20% in its analysis capabilities with respect to the active agents list within 24 months after the start of the partnership.
  • If necessary, a further increase of 10% must be achieved after a further 24 months until it reaches the point at which it is able to analyse at least 80% of all the active agents on the list and has experience of all standard examination methods.

To be approved as a laboratory forfruitmonitoring.com , the laboratory also needs to conclude a contract with the HTS. The contract is sent to the laboratory directly by the HTS after the application documents have been received.

The laboratories enter the laboratory results into the fruitmonitoring.com database. fruitmonitoring.com uses the Internet-based solution from Convivo here because this works independent of the individual market participants and therefore offers a very high level of neutrality.

The laboratory must pay HTS a fee of 5,00 € for every sample result that is entered. The fee is required to finance the IT infrastructure and the administration of the fruitmonitoring.com. The laboratory is free to pass on this charge to their customers who gave them the order to place the results into fruitmonitoring.com
