The procedure OVERVIEW OF PESTICIDE CONTAMINATION IN FRUIT & VEGETABLES ACROSS ALL PARTICIPATING TRADING COMPANIES
In the past, trading companies had already commissioned individual laboratory tests of fruit and vegetable deliveries and the suppliers had requested tests. In future, the results of these investigations will be entered in the joint database at the HDE in order to obtain an overview of the pesticide contamination in fruit and vegetables across all participating trading companies. HDE Trade Service GmbH (HTS GmbH) will continuously evaluate these results and make them available in anonymised form for each product, product group, origin and active ingredient to trading companies and producers for your area of origin, so that these developments in their area of origin can also be recognized at an early stage.
The participating trading companies have agreed on a common list of active ingredients, i.e. a list of the pesticides to be examined, which is continuously checked. The list of active ingredients will form the basis of all studies commissioned by retail companies in the future. This achieves a high degree of comparability of the individual test results. Additional individual tests by the individual trading houses for other active ingredients are unaffected.
The participating retail companies have also agreed on a common identification of findings. In this way, the anonymized test results can be compared, which is what makes the generic analysis possible.
